I’ve been good; I’ve been tough. I keep settling in to work through whatever distractions get thrown at me, but they just keep coming. Distractions of all sorts, just like the candies. Some of them are even tasty (but only some. Again, like the candies). But …. I want to write.
I am getting through my current round of editing, and I’ve dug through the debris on my desk, but oh, can’t the world just go away for a bit and let me write?
Perhaps instead of coping with more and more, I need to fight back. Perhaps it’s finally time to buy a laptop so I can run away from home and find someplace else to work. Of course, if I did that, the garden wouldn’t get planted and the bathroom wouldn’t get renovated and I wouldn’t make it to Edmonton and Red Deer for writing events and … but it is tempting.
