I just got back from my road trip to Airdrie. Well, road trip is perhaps an exaggeration – it was 25 minutes door to door.
I had a great time. We sent school kids down a tunnel into the earth where they found treasure and tarantulas, and built a human ladder to climb out again. Later, at the library, we discovered one of the kids was an alien in disguise, although we couldn’t agree on whether he ate banana peels or Brussels sprouts.
I did some editing in between, sitting in the Airdrie library (which is lovely). I discovered an error, which is both horrifying (surely we’ve fixed them all by now), and a relief (at least I can fix it).
I came home to discover the renovation is still….not….finished….. It hovers, tempting us to believe the end is near, and never coming through. Almost…almost.
